Congratulations to Oz Players Thespian Troupe #88201
Thespian Troupe #88201 just returned from the International Junior Thespian State Festival competition. The state competition was held in Fort Lauderdale on February 15 & 16, 2008. Oz Players did well receiving 3 Excellents and 3 Superiors..
Receiving Excellent ratings were: Taylor Moss for Monologue; Helena Whittaker for Solo Music and Austen Villacis, Stephanie Walsh and Jaden Wilson for Small Group Music;
Receiving Superior ratings were: Willie Walker for Solo Music; Hayley Moss, Taylor Moss, Tara Marler and Helena Whittaker for Small Group Music and Dylan Graham, Jaden Wilson, Mary Dillon, Willie Walker, Mae LeRoy, Austen Villacis, Stephanie Walsh and Tara Marler for Large Group Music.
Troupe #88201 includes: Mary Dillon, Dylan Graham, Tara Marler, Hayley Moss, Taylor Moss, Austen Villacis, Chris Walker, Willie Walker, Stephanie Walsh, Helena Whittaker and Jaden Wilson.

Congratulations to Oz Players Thespian Troupe #88201
On December 1, 2007 at the Junior Thespian Festival for District 1 held in Jacksonville the Oz Players did exceptionally well receiving 5 Excellents, 5 Superiors and 1 Critic’s Choice for the 9 events and One Act they brought.
Receiving Excellent ratings were: Taylor Moss for Monologue; Hayley Moss for Solo Music; Helena Whittaker for Solo Music; Mary Dillon for Solo Music; and the One Act with the entire group.
Receiving Superior ratings were: Mae LeRoy for Monologue; Willie Walker for Solo Music; Austen Villacis, Stephanie Walsh and Jaden Wilson for Small Group Music; Hayley Moss, Taylor Moss, Tara Marler and Helena Whittaker for Small Group Music and Dylan Graham, Jaden Wilson, Mary Dillon, Willie Walker, Mae LeRoy, Austen Villacis, Stephanie Walsh and Tara Marler for Large Group Music.
The Small Group Music with Hayley Moss, Taylor Moss, Tara Marler and Helena Whittaker also received the Critic’s Choice.
The One Act Play received and Excellent rating for the performance and a Superior rating for technical. The One Act included the entire troupe with Chris Walker as the Stage Manager.
Troupe #88201 includes: Mary Dillon, Dylan Graham, Mae LeRoy, Tara Marler, Hayley Moss, Taylor Moss, Austen Villacis, Chris Walker, Willie Walker, Stephanie Walsh, Helena Whittaker and Jaden Wilson.
All events, with the exception of the One Act, will be performed at State Level in Ft. Lauderdale, held in February. All students are responsible to pay their own way to the festival. Donations can be mailed to Oz Theatre, PO Box 1824, Destin, FL 32540.

Robbyn Navatto, New York Manager came to Oz Theatre and presented two workshops. The 3 hour sessions were very informative. The kids even had fun getting in front of a camera and did a commercial for Robbyn. When she left she asked if she could take the video with her because she was interested in working with some of the Oz students that she saw.
Check back because Robbyn and Darla are working on more workshops and possibly a series for Robbyn.
